Local by default
Routine OJT records are stored in the app's local device storage, not synced to an Interna account.
Interna App version 1.0.5
Interna is a local-first OJT companion. Your ordinary profile, duty logs, timer sessions, proof photos, reflections, and saved reports stay on your device unless you choose a feature that sends or shares them.
Quick summary
Routine OJT records are stored in the app's local device storage, not synced to an Interna account.
AI generation and rewarded ads need internet access. Core logging, timers, local reports, and offline drafts do not.
The animated mascot does not listen or record audio. Interna has no current precise-location feature.
Shift reminders are scheduled by your device. Interna does not register a remote push token for this flow.
How information moves
Profile details, logs, timer data, photos, notes, and saved reports are written to local app storage.
You can keep working offline, export a file, make a backup, request an AI report, or watch a rewarded ad.
Exports go to the destination you choose. AI prompts go to the AI processing chain. Ad interactions go to Google Mobile Ads and the credit backend.
Generated text is shown in Interna and is saved locally only when you save it. Earned credits are verified against backend records.
Local storage
Student name, course, school, company, supervisor, required hours, OJT date range, working-week preference, reminder times, theme, and biometric-lock preference.
Dates, tasks, quantities, time-in and time-out values, record type, timestamps, and an active timer session if one is running.
Photos selected from the library or captured with the camera, plus local file details, documentation captions, and notes attached to a log.
Saved narrative text, report date ranges, weekly learning reflections, suggestion timestamps, and locally generated offline report content.
Onboarding completion, local AI-credit state, notification settings, and an installation identifier. On supported native devices, the installation identifier is kept in secure storage.
Temporary or exported PDF, DOCX, CSV, documentation, and JSON backup files created when you choose an export or backup action.
No routine cloud sync. The current app does not upload ordinary profile records, work logs, saved reports, or proof photos to an Interna user account.
Optional network use
Selected profile fields, work-log text and time details, prior internship-log context, and an optional weekly learning note.
Supabase Edge Function, then Gemini; retry providers may include xAI Grok and NVIDIA.
Install ID, app/build version, platform and device details, hashed Android ID where available, hashed network address, timestamps, trust status, and optional Play Integrity results.
Supabase backend and Google Play Integrity on supported Android builds.
Ad interactions plus reward-session, status, transaction, ad-unit, timestamp, device-credit, and fraud-prevention details.
Google Mobile Ads and Supabase reward-credit backend.
Before an AI request, the native app contacts a Google connectivity endpoint to determine whether the internet is reachable. Ordinary request metadata, including an IP address, may be visible to that service.

AI assistance
AI is used only after you request a narrative report or a weekly learning-note suggestion. Interna builds a text prompt from relevant data for the selected report range. That prompt can include your name, course, school, company, supervisor, current and previous work-log text, dates, quantities, time ranges, and an optional weekly learning note.
Proof photos are not included in the current AI prompt. The prompt passes through Interna's Supabase Edge Function and is sent to Google Gemini first. If a retryable service error occurs, the same prompt may be retried through xAI Grok and then an NVIDIA-hosted model. The function records prompt length in its application log, not the prompt text, but platform invocation logs and each provider's own processing rules may apply.
AI output is returned to Interna and shown for review. It becomes a saved narrative only when you save it. AI text can be incorrect or incomplete; review it before submitting it to a school, coordinator, or supervisor.
Before using AI: avoid entering passwords, financial information, government identifiers, confidential workplace information, or personal details about another person unless you have permission.
Optional mobile feature
On Android and iOS builds, you can choose to watch a rewarded ad to earn an additional AI-report credit. Interna requests non-personalized ads, but the Google Mobile Ads SDK can still automatically process an IP address, general location estimated from that address, app interactions such as ad views and taps, diagnostics, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
Interna creates a time-limited reward session before showing an ad. The backend stores the session status, install and device bucket, reward amount and type, ad-unit and transaction details when provided, timestamps, and verification results. This prevents a reward from being reused or claimed for a different installation.
The current app starts with a local free allowance and later provides a recurring weekly free allowance. Rewarded credits have a separate backend weekly limit. Exact credit limits may change without changing the categories of information described here. Watching an ad is optional; you can continue using offline reports and the rest of the app without watching one.
On-device assistance
If enabled, Interna asks for notification permission and schedules clock-in, clock-out, and long-running-timer reminders through the device operating system. Reminder times are saved locally.
When the app opens from a displayed reminder, the animated mascot repeats the notification and shows the next step. This is a visual animation: it does not use speech recognition, a microphone, or remote AI, and it does not upload the notification text.
The notification panel inside Interna calculates profile, logging, progress, and deadline notices locally from your settings and logs. Those notices are not received from a remote messaging service.
If enabled, Interna asks the operating system to confirm your enrolled fingerprint, face, iris, or device credential. Interna receives only the authentication result and does not receive or store your biometric template.
Your device controls
Interna's current feature flow does not use precise location or microphone recording. Device settings may show permissions contributed by underlying app modules; the app source does not contain a current location-tracking or audio-recording feature.
Protect your backup file. An Interna JSON backup can contain readable profile information, duty logs, saved narratives, weekly notes, and proof photos encoded inside the file. It is not separately password-protected or encrypted by Interna. Anyone with the file may be able to read its contents.
Backups include logs, proof photos, settings, saved narratives, and weekly learning notes. They do not include or restore AI credits, reward-credit records, backend trust decisions, or the secure installation identifier. Restoring a backup overwrites the matching local data currently in the app.
Keeping and removing data
Remains until you edit or delete it, restore another backup over it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Files you exported or shared must be deleted separately from their saved destination.
The current backend uses these records for quotas, reward verification, security, and reinstall-abuse prevention. The current app schema does not define an automatic deletion schedule, so records may remain until they are removed through operational retention or a verified request, subject to security and legal needs.
Interna's quota and trust database does not intentionally save the text of the AI prompt. The prompt is processed through an Edge Function and an AI provider. Provider and platform logs or retention practices may apply according to their current terms and service plan.
Interna has no current account or login flow, so it has no account-deletion portal. For backend privacy requests, contact the email below. Additional information may be needed to locate a pseudonymous install or device record, and matching may be limited.
You can avoid sending an AI prompt by using the offline report option. You can avoid advertising-related processing by not starting a rewarded ad. You can revoke app permissions through your device settings.
Reasonable safeguards
Interna uses encrypted HTTPS connections for supported backend, AI, advertising, and policy requests. Native installations use secure device storage for the installation identifier where supported, and the optional biometric lock relies on the operating system. Ordinary local logs and photos rely on the device's app sandbox and operating-system protections; Interna does not separately end-to-end encrypt every local record or exported file.
Supabase, Google, xAI, and NVIDIA may process information in countries outside your own. Privacy and data-protection rules can differ between countries. No digital system is completely secure, so protect your device, screen lock, proof photos, exported reports, and backup files.
Educational use
Interna is designed for OJT and internship record-keeping. It is not directed to young children. Students who are not legally able to consent on their own should use the app only with appropriate parent, guardian, school, or institutional guidance.
Before photographing a workplace, document, colleague, customer, patient, or screen, make sure you have permission and follow your employer's or school's rules. Do not place confidential workplace or third-party personal information in an AI prompt unless you are authorized to do so.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated when Interna's data handling, providers, permissions, or features change. The effective date at the top will be updated when a revised policy is published. Material changes should be reviewed before continuing to use the affected online feature.
